Our history
In Torres Vedras, in the west of Portugal, an entrepreneurial family that shares a strong passion for the land where they were born, realized their old dream of building a winery that celebrated the historical heritage of the region, strongly marked by the culture of vineyards and wine.
Built by the Alves family, founders of the Riberalves Group, AdegaMãe was born as a tribute from men to the matriarch, Manuela Alves. And it is at the same time the inspiration for a space of birth, of creation, in which the aim is to enhance the best grapes and create better wines.
North of Lisbon and just a step away from the ocean coast, AdegaMãe enhances a terroir strongly influenced by the prevailing sea breezes, standing out for its Atlantic-inspired wines, full of character, fresh and mineral, awarded nationally and internationally.
Known for its exclusive architecture, and the way it harmonizes with the fantastic surrounding landscape, AdegaMãe was designed from scratch to integrate the best visiting experience, establishing itself as a reference in wine tourism in the Lisbon Wine Region.
