Our history
Located in Alenquer, Quinta do Monte D'Oiro has been known since the 19th century. XVII as a privileged location for the production of great wines. The objective of producer José Bento dos Santos, a well-known communicator and promoter of gastronomy and wine, is to produce high-quality European-style wines, respecting the existing terroir – a unique combination of soils and climate. In the Monte D'Oiro vineyard, the grape varieties Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Petit Verdot and Viognier are planted, with which the producer has produced some of the most acclaimed wines in Portugal and the world.
